Our Philosophy

We believe legal services are best done through a close personal relationship between the attorney and the client. It is built around a central tenant of excellent communications and mutual respect that leads to a thorough understand of what makes you special and unique. We want to be your attorney for life.

Gaining a clear picture of your goals and fears is the first and most important step in the planning process. We will work closely with you and your advisors at every stage in order to provide a comprehensive estate plan that meets your specific needs. We believe that you should have a plan that is consistent with your family’s culture and values. Our goal is to protect yourself and your loved ones and, if you desire, to create a legacy that will last generations.

Contrary to widespread belief, you do not need a large estate before estate planning becomes important. In fact, we believe that the most important aspects of estate planning have nothing to do with your property. Many of our clients seek to engage in estate planning to make it easier on their loved ones if they become sick or die. Others are seeking to take care of those who depend upon them, whether it is a minor child, a relative with special needs, or even a spouse.

There are a variety of tools available to meet your estate planning needs. No single tool can do everything. Different tools have different purposes and will have varying degrees of importance based on different situations. We believe our role is not to make all the decisions for you. Rather, our role is to inform you about what options are available, the efficiency of those options, and to draft those documents necessary to carry out your plan.

We view our estate plans as disaster plans. They are only truly tested when disaster strikes and we do not know if that will be tomorrow, next year, or decades from now. That is why we want our estate plans to be effective for a variety of situations and scenarios. That is also why we want to keep that personal relationship with our clients so we can keep that estate plan up to date with all the changes life presents.

We look forward to meeting you and learning more about you and your family. Please let us meet you and learn about the goals you have for your family.
